The biggest and greatest event of Moose Legion 107 is Summer Celebration and Picnic. This year, this will occur at our Lodge on August 8th & 9th. The picnic on the 9th begins at noon and it is a family affair. Your family may enter for one low price. All males 21 and older must be Moose Legionnaires. There will be games for young and old alike. Plenty of good picnic food, drink and raffles. Best of all, is the sweet corn grilled to perfection.
If you are not a Moose Legionnaire and want to attend this picnic you may join the Moose Legion at the Conferral on August 8 starting at 2:00 pm. See any Legionnaire for an application. The application must be submitted by August 1st along with the $10.00 application fee and $20.00 dues (total $30.00). It would be great to see many of the enrollee chairs filled with our members.
If you can handle two EXCITING weekends in a row, the Annual Moose Convention will take place on August 13-16 at Sault Ste Marie. This is always a great time of learning, fun and camaraderie.
We held our Hook A Kid on Golf the week of June 22 for four youngsters. I’m sure each of them are very happy with the experience.
Pay attention to the posting on the bulletin boards. The Moose Legion All-State golf tournament will occur in September.

Dear Fellow Members -

Having just come back from the Moose State Convention, I have a greater appreciation for what we do in support of Mooseheart and Moosehaven.

I realized we are always selling raffle tickets to support these facilities, but when you actually see the people and hear from them, as we did at the convention, you have a greater appreciation and wonderful feeling that we are truly helping those less fortunate.

We saw a wonderful video from the boys and house parents of the Michigan House at Mooseheart. Many of those boys talked about where they would be if not for Mooseheart and it did not paint a pretty picture. They were so appreciative of everything that the Michigan Moose Members have provided for them.

Our lodge was recognized several times. Once for the work the Women of the Moose did, which I am sure Sue Larson will address and we also received are real nice award for Community Service. Look for the plaque on our wall at the Lodge.

Check over the Moosehorn real good because we have lots of activities coming up this fall.

We have the gun raffle, wild game dinner, gun blitz going on in September, the State Euchre Tournament at our lodge in October and all the activities around Labor Day

Stop in and take part in your lodge. We need more than your dues, we want you to be a part of something special and we want you to enjoy stopping in for some relaxation and enjoyment.
